Physological aspects of Lyapunov's researchs on cybernetical problems of biology

Fedorov V.I.

Institute of Laser Physics (Novosibirsk)

Cybernetic works of A.A.Lyapunov, which have a relation to physiology are considered. Underestimation of these works by biocyberneticians and physiologists is noted. The causes of it are explained. The facts of fixed interest of A.A.Lyapunov to organism level and physiological processes are adduced. Even relation of A.A.Lyapunov to organism and other levels of organization of living systems is showed. The four aspects of scientific works of A.A.Lyapunov, which have a relation to physiology is marked out.

  1. The works on mathematical modeling of various physiological systems and processes, which were made by A.A.Lyapunov or under his leadership. The description of models and nontrivial physiological results, which were received at investigation of these models is make.
  2. The definition of approaches to creation of theoretical physiology.
  3. The using of physiological data by A.A.Lyapunov for consideration and development of general biological and general cybernetic propositions.
  4. The application of these propositions to physiology.
