Problems and prospectives in unitary depth profile interpretation

The applicability of voltage profile measurements, spike-triggered averaging by multichannel recording from barrel field of somatosensory cortex possessing restricted voltage sources was studied. Theoretical voltage profiles were built based on excitation of elementary cell fragments and compared to real experimental profiles obtained from the awake rabbit barrels.
