НАУЧНАЯ КОНФЕРЕНЦИЯ
«ЭКОЛОГИЯ ДРЕВНИХ И СОВРЕМЕННЫХ ОБЩЕСТВ»
18-22 ноября 2003 г.  

ПЕРВОЕ ИНФОРМАЦИОННОЕ СООБЩЕНИЕ

Институт проблем освоения Севера СО РАН, Институт археологии и этнографии СО РАН, Тюменский государственный университет проводят с 18 по 22 ноября 2003 года всероссийскую научную конференцию с участием иностранных специалистов.

Работа конференции будет проходить по нескольким направлениям: палеогеография, археология, этнография, социальная и физическая антропология; а также смежным с ними научным дисциплинам. Тематика конференции охватит проблемы взаимодействия человека, природы и общества в самых широких хронологических рамках: от становления человечества до исследований проблем социальной и культурной адаптации современных этносов к условиям меняющейся природной среды. Конференция рассмотрит также новые методики и результаты реконструкции природных условий существования человеческих коллективов в прошлом, отметит итоги важнейших научных достижений в области палео- и этноэкологии.

 Деятельность конференции будет проходить в исследовательских секциях по направлениям:

1.Реконструкция природной среды древних и средневековых обществ (научный руководитель к.и.н. Зах В.А.)
2.Жизнеобеспечение древних и средневековых обществ (научный руководитель д.и.н. Матвеев А.В.)
3.Этническая экология (научный руководитель д.и.н. Багашев А.Н.) 

Приглашаем Вас принять участие в работе конференции. Просим в срок до 1 марта 2003 г. прислать заявку с указанием фамилии, имени, отчества, названия и характера доклада (пленарный, стендовый или секционный), полного наименования Вашего места работы, домашнего и рабочего адреса, телефона, факса, электронного адреса, необходимых технических средств.

В срок до 1 мая просим выслать тезисы доклада до 5 страниц (через 1,5 интервала, до 1800 знаков на странице) на бумаге в одном экземпляре, электронной почтой или на дискете в варианте WinWord. Оргкомитет оставляет за собой право отклонения докладов, не соответствующих заявленным направлениям, и тезисов, не удовлетворяющих вышеперечисленным требованиям.

Материалы докладов будут опубликованы до начала конференции. Рабочие языки конференции - русский и английский.

Регистрационный взнос предусмотрен в размере 200 руб. Стоимость гостиницы – 300-500 руб.

Последующая информация и приглашения будут отправлены участникам после получения заявки оргкомитетом.

 SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE
“ECOLOGY OF ANCIENT AND MODERN SOCIETIES”
November 18-22, 2003
 FIRST INFORMATION MESSAGE

 Institute of Northern Development, Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences; and the Tyumen State University are planning to hold an All-Russian scientific conference, with participation of foreign specialists, on November 18-22, 2003.

The work of the conference will pass through several directions including paleogeography, archaeology, ethnography, social and physical anthropology, as well as the related disciplines. The subject field of the conference will embrace problems of interaction between man, nature and society within most broad chronological frames: from formation of mankind up to considering problems of social and cultural adaptation of modern ethnoses against changing environmental conditions. The conference will also discuss new methods and the results of reconstruction regarding natural living conditions of human groups in the past, and will summarize most important achievements in the field of paleoecology and ethnoecology.

 The work of the conference will be organized through workshops as follows:

1.Reconstruction of Natural Environment of Ancient and Medieval Societies (supervision by Dr. V.A. Zakh)
2.Life-support System of Ancient and Medieval Societies (supervision by Prof. A.V. Matveev)
3.Ethnic Ecology (supervision by Prof. A.N. Bagashev)

 We kindly invite you to take part in the work of the conference. You are requested to submit an application before March 1, 2003, indicating your full name, as well as the title and type of your paper (plenary/exhibition stand/workshop paper), particulars of your working place, home and work address, phone, fax, e-mail, and other such essential technical facilities. Before May 1, 2003, you are requested to submit theses of your paper up to 5 pages (at an interval of 1,5; up to 1800 symbols per page), as a single hard copy, or sent by e-mail, or on a floppy disc in the WinWord version. The organizing committee reserves the right to decline the reports standing out of the above-stated directions, as well as the theses failing to fulfill the above-listed requirements.

The materials of the papers will be published before starting the conference. The working languages of the conference will be Russian and English.

A registration fee is fixed at 200 Rbls., cost of the hotel for Russian participants amounts to 300-500 Rbls.
