	PROSPECTS OF ACADEMIC SERIES HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED AT THE FEDERATION COUNCIL A presentation of the multi-volume series “Folklore Monuments of the Peoples of Siberia and the Far East”, being published for more than twenty years by the Siberian Branch of RAS, has taken place at the meeting of the Committee on Science, Education and Culture of the Federation Council of the RF Federal Assembly on April 28, 2014.
	ROLE OF FUEL AND ENERGY COMPLEX OF THE WESTERN SIBERIA IN DEVELOPMENT OF RUSSIAN ECONOMICS An exit meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy has been held in Tyumen on April 23.
	VECTOR OF COOPERATION - SOUTHEAST ASIA Under the valid Agreement between the Siberian Branch of RAS and Tohoku University (Japan), the Institute of Physical Material Science of SB RAS builds cooperation with the Laboratory of Professor Motoyuki Sato in the area of satellite-borne ground penetrating radar.
	SIBERIAN VILLAGE: HISTORY, CULTURE, ECONOMICS The X International Scientific and Practical Conference “Siberian village: history, current state and prospects for development” has been held in Omsk and Tara from April 23 through April 26.
	COAL CHEMISTRY OF CURRENT INTEREST The III Conference of Young Scientists “Actual Issues of Coal Chemistry and Chemical Materials” has been held on the basis of ICCMS of SB RAS from April 24 through April 25 2014.
