	BOOK ABOUT TEACHER The Novosibirsk “Nauka” Publishing House has issued the book “Chemistry of acetylene: new chapters”. It is dedicated to the State Prize Winner, Director of the Irkutsk A.E. Favorsky Institute of Chemistry of SB RAS Academician B.A. Trofimov. His biography, the story of his scientific school, the analysis of works of the Irkutsk chemist have been presented by eminent Russian scholars.

	A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS OBJECT An unknown space object has been recorded by the automated telescope “MASTER-II”, mounted on the astrophysical test ground of the Irkutsk State University in Tunkinskaya Valley near Lake Baikal, late in the evening of September 27.
