	SCIENTIFIC AND SCIENCE ORGANIZING ACTIVITIES OF THE SB RAS IN JULY
	IT IS ALL ABOUT IT, ABOUT ORGANIC CHEMISTRY! The International Scientific Conference “Modern Problems of Organic Chemistry”, devoted to the 80th birth anniversary of Academician Valentin Afanasyevich Koptyug, has been held at the N.N.Vorozhtsov Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry of SB RAS from June 6 through June 10.
	HE TURNED HIS ENEMIES INTO FRIENDS The Round Table devoted to the 80th birth anniversary of Valentin Afanasyevich Koptyug has been held at the SB RAS House of Scientists on June 8.
	DEVOTED TO PIONEERS OF PROGRAMMING The Ershov Eighth International Informatics Conference (PSI-2011) will take place at the Small Hall of SB RAS House of Scientists on June 28.
	TO SOLVE PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPMENT OF BIG DEPTHS The 1st China-Russia Conference “Nonlinear geomechanical and geodynamic processes at mineral processing on big depths” has been held in April of this year in the city of Fuxin (People's Republic of China).
	“CROSS YEAR” OF RUSSIA AND SPAIN Within the framework of Year of Russia and Spain, at the Exhibition Centre “Feria de Madrid” (Madrid, Spain) the exhibition “Scientific-Engineering and Innovational Achievements of Russia” has been held from May 12 through May 15, wherein thirteen institutes of the Siberian Branch of RAS have taken part within the Russian Academy of Sciences “Russian science today” stand structure.
	HAVE BEEN CONVINCED IN THE SB RAS POTENTIAL A delegation of the Kherson area, led by Governor N.M.Kostyak, which paid an official visit to Novosibirsk, has arrived to Academgorodok on June 17.
	AEROSOLE – FLAME ARRESTOR The patent for invention N 2396095 titled “The way of fire fighting” has been registered by both - scientists of the Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion of SB RAS and the All-Russian Research Institute for Fire Protection of Ministry of Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters (Moscow).
	THE WORLD OF NEW MATERIALS The search of such materials in science goes on constantly. The need in them is so great, that breaks in this work have not been observed. New century already can be called as the time of total updating.
	V.A.KOPTYUG: “FOR CHEMIST THE INFORMATION IS FREQUENTLY MORE IMPORTANT, THAT REACTANTS” An outstanding scientist-chemist Valentin Afanasyevich Koptyug was 80 on June 9. Shortly before this date, two professional holidays: May 29 - Day of Chemist, and May 27 - Day of Librarian, have been marked. The latter event had also reference to V.A.Koptyug, who always paid special attention to providing research information to scientists.
	GOOD-BYE PMS, HELLO NSU! Last Saturday the PMS graduates solemnly said goodbye to their favorite school.
	THE WORK WHICH HAS MADE EPOCH IN THE WORLD TURKOLOGY A significant event - the 160th anniversary of creation of a masterpiece of world turkology – the work “About language of Yakuts” will be marked by the Russian Turkic linguistics on June 23-24 in the city of Yakutsk.
	EXHIBITION “CONTRIBUTION OF SIBERIAN SCIENTISTS INTO THE SPACE PROGRAM” CAUSES A BIG INTEREST Within two months of work of the exhibition “Contribution of Siberian scientists into the space program”, devoted to the 50th anniversary of Yu. A. Gagarin’s flight into the space, more than 300 persons have got acquainted with the exposition opened at the Exhibition Centre of SB RAS.
	SONGS ALWAYS REMAINED WITH US On June 22 it has been 70 years since the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War – the date which will not leave anyone indifferent. So, at least, it should be.
