	PERSONS WHOSE ANNIVERSARY IS CELEBRATED Two distinguished employees of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the SB RAS - Stanislav Vasilievich Larionov and Anatoly Vasilievich Belyaev – have been the first who started working at the Institute, almost simultaneously. On February 18 and 23, they both will mark their 75th birth anniversary.
	THE MOST EARTHLY OF ALL SCIENCES Principal Researcher of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the SB RAS, Doctor of Sciences (Biology) Anatoly Alekseevich Tanasienko has recently marked his 70th birth anniversary.

	TRYING TO OBTAIN GRAPHENE Within the framework of Days of Science, the Nikolaev Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the SB RAS has opened its doors for schoolchildren and students on February 11.

	AGAINST THE BACKGROUND OF WORLD SCIENCE The Press Conference “Irkutsk Science in World Community”, devoted to Days of Science has taken place in the “Interfax-Siberia” Press Center on February 7.
	ACADEMIES COMBINE THEIR EFFORTS Before the Day of Russian Science in the Irkutsk Scientific Center, a significant event – a joint session of Presidiums of the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS and the East-Siberian Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences has taken place.
	DAY OF SCIENCE: AWARDS OF GOVERNOR AND MUCH MORE… It has become a long-term Kuzbass tradition - to arrange annually on February 8 the reception of Governor devoted to the Day of Russian Science.

	THE INTERACT INTERNATIONAL ARCTIC INFRASTRUCTURE IN RUSSIA Under the Agreement on Scientific Cooperation between the Abisco International Research Station and the Institute for Biological Problems of Cryolithozone of the SB RAS a big work on the scientific and information exchange has been done since 2005.
	MICROSOFT – SB RAS ON THE WAY TO STRATEGIC AGREEMENT The joint Practical Conference of the Siberian Branch of the RAS and Microsoft company, devoted to the problems of use of modern Microsoft software in the activities of academic organizations, has been held at the Conference Hall of the Institute of Computational Technologies of the SB RAS on February 9.
	“SCHLUMBERGER” – FOR SCIENCE, EDUCATION AND COMMERCE The Round Table devoted to specific particularities of innovative project implementation at the Novosibirsk higher education institutions and their interaction with big corporations, has taken place at the NSU on February 1.
	CULTURE AND ETHNIC RELATIONS IN SIBERIAN CITIES Manifestations of ethnic discord in some cities of Russia, which may be observed today, require considering their reasons and demonstrations from the side of some humanities.
	ARCHEOLOGY HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE ETHNOGRAPHIC SERIES The next volume of the scientific series on ethnographic collections of the Siberian museums has been published.
