	A GIFT FOR THE LIBRARY Before the All-Russian Day of Libraries the State Public Scientific Technical Library of the SB RAS has received a gift from known inhabitants of the Novosibirsk: valuable book monuments have been gratuitously donated to the Museum of the Book (the Department of rare books and manuscripts of the State Public Scientific Technical Library of the SB RAS).

	"WE LEARN TO MAKE CRYSTALS…" At the end of April in Moscow, at the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an annual ceremony was held: delivering the medals of the Russian Academy of Sciences to young scientists and students for the achievements in different fields of science according to the results of the Competition of 2009. In the nomination "General and applied chemistry " the prize was received by Candidate Sc. (Chemistry) Xenia Mariunina from the Institute "International Tomographic Center" of the the SB RAS.
	THE ARCHITECT OF NEW SUBSTANCES According to the results of the Competition of 2009, scientific researcher of the Irkutsk Favorski Institute of Chemistry of the SB RAS Candidate Sc. (Chemistry) Olesia Aleksandrovna Shemiakina has been awarded with the Medal of the RAS with the prize for young scientists.
	ABOUT NOVEL SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES TO SOLVING THE PROBLEMS OF PHARMACY The fact that the matters with pharmacy in our country are standing unwell is commonly known. Much less is spoken about what could be particularly done just now, with no hope for the radiant future that is not known to come or not to come.
	THE FEATURES AND CAPABILITIES OF MICROWAVE CHEMISTRY Rapid development of natural sciences basing, first of all, on a considerable extension of technical possibilities of carrying out studies observed for the last decades, as well as a close interlacing of the achievements of chemistry, physics, biology and other fieldf of natural sciences resulted in the fact that during the second half of the 20th century one faced with appearing such new fields of chemistry, as laser chemistry, plasma chemistry, photochemistry, high pressure chemistry, mechanochemistry. For the last 20 years microwave chemistry has joined them, too.

	COMMUNICATIONS WITH VIETNAM GROWING STRONGER From May, 21 to May, 22 the Novosibirsk was visited by the delegation of business quarters of Vietnam headed by the Chairman of the National Committee of the Kyeng Zang province.
	IT IS IMPORTANT TO EXTEND CONTACTS May, 23 a delegation of the Embassy of Republic Poland in the Russian Federation and the Warsaw University has arrived to Novosibirsk.
	HEILONGJIANG - THE SB RAS: NEW FORMS OF COLLABORATION May, 24 to 27 the Novosibirsk Scientific Center was visited by the delegation of Heilongjiang province of the Chinese People's Republic.
