	NEW CHAIRMAN OF THE IrSC PRESIDIUM OF THE SB RAS At the General annual meeting of the SB RAS the director of the Institute for System Dynamics and Control Theory of the SB RAS Corresponding member of the RAS Igor Viacheslavovich Bychkov has been elected the Chairman of the Presidium of the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS.
	ARCHEOLOGY: MULTIDISCIPLINARY SCIENCE On the eve of new field season a press conference of Academician V.I.Molodin, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the SB RAS has been held at the House of Scientists. He has told to journalists about the basic directions of archeologists’ work, the achievements and problems, about plans for the forthcoming season.

	SCIENTISTS, THE SOLDIERS OF THE VICTORY The exhibition with such a title dated to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War has been opened at the Museum of the SB RAS in the beginning of May. Its presentation has taken place on May, 18, the International Day of Museums.
	HOW WE HAVE DONE IT… In September, 2009 the funds of the Central Siberian Geological Museum of the IGM of the SB RAS have been replenished with a new exhibit that can be referred to a number of ones being not unique but rare enough: a sample of nugget copper about 700 kg in weight was delivered from the Taimet deposit of the Mountain Shoria.
