	THE M.A. LAVRENTIEV PRIZE-WINNERS ARE NAMED November, 19, on the birthday of Michail Alekseevichi Lavrentiev a delivery of prizes after his name has taken place at the Large Hall of the House of Scientists of the SB RAS.
	THE LIST OF THE SB RAS SCIENTIFIC AND SCIECE-ORGANIZING ACTIONS FOR DECEMBER
	ON THREE FOUNDATIONS … A train of the anniversary celebrations connected with the 40th anniversary of Academic science in Tomsk finished with a solemn general meeting on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS.
	A FORWARD DEPLOYMENT OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL FRONT For fifty years the Experimental Plant of the RAS is working in Novosibirsk which the plant may be called by right a primogenitor of modern technoparks.
	KEEPING STEP WITH TIME The history of the Experimental Plant is part and parcel of the activities of all the scientific divisions of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences. There are installations made in the shops of the plant almost in each SB RAS institute.
	THE SB RAS PRESIDIUM MEETING
	THE PROTOCOL IS SIGNED November, 19 to 25 the Novosibirsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS was visited by the delegation of the State Academy of Sciences of the Korean People's Democratic Republic.
	TRANSBAIKALIA WAITING FOR NEW DISCOVERIES At a joint press conference the Chairman of the Siberian Branch of the RAS Academician Aleksandr Leonidovich Aseev and the Governor of the Transbaikalian Territory Ravil Faritovich Geniatulin have informed that the program of strategic cooperation is ready and the corresponding agreement was signed.
	WILL "RusNano" HELP US? Last week after the visit to the Siberian Federal University the executive director of investment activity board, member of executive commitee of the RusNano State corporation Denis Gordin and the Vice-president of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Region Andrei Gnezdilov with colleagues have visited the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS. The purpose of visit consisted in the acquaintance with and selection of the most significant developments of the KrSC Institutes of the SB RAS in the field of nanotechnologies.
	THE OWN WAY IN SCIENCE Scientific secretary of the Institute of Geography of the SB RAS, Candidate Sc. (Geography) Igor Vladimirov has received the RF Presidential grant. It is not the first grant, it’s not the first award.
	THE PRESTIGIOUS PRIZE Senior scientific researcher of the Laboratory of Tectonophysics of the Institute of the Earth's Crust of the SB RAS, Candidate Sc. (Geology and mineralogy Oxana Lunina has received a National Prize founded by L’Oreal company under the support of the RF Commission for UNESCO affairs as well as the Russian Academy of Sciences.
	THE NOVOSIBIRSK STATE UNIVERSITY BEING A GROWTH POINT OF INNOVATION ECONOMY In 2009 the Novosibirsk State university has entered a new stage of its development: in October it was given with the status of National Research University.
	JAPANESE LECTURES WITHIN THE PRECINCTS OF THE NSU the teachers of Japanese Tohoku University have read lectures at the Novosibirsk State University. The visit took place within the framework of negotiations on the cooperation of the Siberian Branch of the RAS and the NSU with the Japanese University.

	SCIENCE COMING TO THE END WHERE IDEOLOGICAL DOGMAS BEGINNING There was an article by V.E.Larichev "SCIENCE BEGINS ONLY WITH THE DEATH OF A DOGMA" published in the "Science in Siberia" weekly (No 43, October 29, 2009). Unfortunately, this material contains a lot of questionable statements both from scientific and philosophical viewpoints.
	THE TRADE UNION CHANGING TACTICS At the session of the Council of the Trade union of RAS workers held November, 11 to 12, an information question on the financing the RAS was one of the most principal.
	A BOOK ABOUT OLD BELIEVERS OF TRANSBAIKALIA A book "Old Believers of Transbaikalia in XVIII-XX centuries" has been issued by the publishing house of the Buryat Scientific Center of the RAS.
	A NOVEL BOOK CONCERNING PSEUDO SCIENCE A new book by Academician E.P.Krugliakov titled "Highway robber-scientists-3" has been published.
	A STORY ABOUT GEOLOGIST’S DESTINY At the "Horizons" club of the House of Scientists of the Siberian Branch of the RAS it was recently spoken about the book "Just a good thing is geology!" by O.K.Grechishchev issued in 2009. His colleagues in geology, followers, friends shared their impressions about the narration, expressed their respect to the author.
