	SCIENTIFIC AND SCIENCE-ORGANIZING ACTIONS OF THE SB RAS IN DECEMBER
	100TH ANNIVERSARY OF ACADEMICIAN S.A.CHRISTIANOVICH Academician Sergei Alekseevich Christianovich, the centenary from whose birth-date was celebrated by the scientific community November, 9, 2008, entered into a galaxy of outstanding Russian mechanics scientists together with N.E.Zhukovski, S.A.Chaplygin, N.E.Kochin and the others. He has contributed much to the development of such fields of mechanics as aerogasdynamics, mechanics of mountain ranges, theory of plasticity, theory of filtration and environmental energetcs.
	20TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARCHEOLOGY IN AltSU In November the Archeology, Ethnography and Museum science Chair of the Altai State University has celebrated the 20th anniversary.
	TO PASS FROM WORDs TO DEEDS November, 14 at the conference hall of the Exhibition Center of the SB RAS a round table discussion took place devoted to the problems and prospects of treatment and rehabilitation of insult patients in the Novosibirsk Region. The event was organized by the Center of novel medical technologies of the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine.
	BIOTECHNOLOGIES AS A MULTIPLICATION OF CAPABILITIES The decision of many problems facing to mankind is connected with biotechnologies relying on the most advanced research methods.
	THE WORLD MINING CONGRESS Now at the Institutes of the SB RAS, the submission epopee of new integration projects is over. The results of three-year research under the projects of 2006-2008 ure summed up as well. For the scientists of the Institute of Mining of the SB RAS the materials of the 21st World Mining Congress taken place in September in Krakow (Poland) serve a certain reference point in this job.

	FOR THE SAKE OF THE ACADEMGORODOK Almost one and a half month one of the State enterprises of the Siberian Branch, the State Unitary Enterprise for Housing and Communal Services of the NSC of the SB RAS worked under very complicated conditions. For some reasons, the service of judicial police officers had blocked the accounts of the enterprise.
