	LIST OF THE SCIENTISTS OF THE SIBERIAN BRANCH, who have been awarded with the State Scientific Scholarships of 2000 pursuant to the SB RAS Presidium enactment N 77 of 11.04.2000 according to the Russian Federation Presidential Decree N 1372 of 16.09.93 "On the measures for material support of Russian scientists".
	THE VLADIMIR POTANIN SCHOLARSHIPS Eight leading State Higher Education Institutions of the Siberian Federal District will become participants of the Scholarship program of the President of the "InterRoss" Holding Company Vladimir Potanin.
	IN UNIFIED MATHEMATICAL SPACE Aleksandr Greshnov, Natalia Makarenko, Artiom Piatkin are the young scientists of the Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch, the State Scientific Scholarship winners.
	SCIENCE IN THE TECHNOLOGY OF AIRCRAFT CONSTRUCTION Now the splines are the basis of all modern automated systems for design and planning of complicated geometrical shapes in such branches as aircraft construction, shipbuilding, motor industry, production of hydraulic turbines, clothing and shoe industry and other.

	MODERN ASPECTS OF GEOGRAPHY Irkutsk geographers have revived a good tradition of the last years. Now they will annually discuss the results of their work at scientific session. 	ON THE SOLAR TRACK Aleksei Vasilievich Chernyshov belongs to that not numerous people who do not work "in the performance of one`s duty", but who are fanatically devoted to the idea of active usage of solar energy here, in Siberia. 	ALL IS IN THE HAT The first exhibition of the works by young artist Oxana Ponkratieva "Violet Hat" has been held at the "Academy" House of Culture. Exposition included both her drawing and painting. There the best drawings by her learners of the "Classics" studio at the School N 162 have been also presented.
	COMPETITIONS ON SLALOM AT THE NOVOSIBIRSK SCIENTIFIC CENTER On Saturday, February 17, at the mountain-skiing complex "Kluchi" the traditional competitions on slalom for the "Neocom" Company prize have been held.
