	SIBERIAN INNOVATION PROJECTS According to the invitation of the Ministry of Economic Development the Russian Federation, delegation of the Siberian Branch of the RAS participated from June, 14 to June, 16, in the exhibition "Russian innovation projects" taking place within the framework of the 9th International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg.
	WAITING FOR A RESIDENT The meeting devoted to the partial progress in the organization of technical innovation and activities over the territory of special economic area has taken place in the Novosibirsk Regional Administration.
	ALTAI, THE TERRITORY OF SPECIAL ATTENTION July, 12-13 under the initiative of the Administration and the Union of Industrialists of the Altai Territory, active participation of the European Council, the RF Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the RF Ministry for Economic Development and Trade, a conference "International and foreign economic relations of the subjects of the Russian Federation" has taken place. About 100 experts discussed the features of social and economic development of the Altai Territory as well as frontier cooperation with Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia.

	SCIENTISTS FOR THE DEFENSE OF OUR COUNTRY The Presidium of the RAS has made a resolution on the perpetuating of memory of Academician Sergey Alekseevich Hristianovich, naming after him the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the SB RAS, the founder and the first director of which the institute he was. The outstanding scientist of 20th century, one of the founders of the Siberian branch of the SB RAS, Academician S.Hristianovich has contributed much in hydro- and aerodynamics, the theories of filtration and plasticity, mechanics of rocks and to environmentally appropriate power industry. In the year of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, it should be reminded the readers of that the Academician Khristianovich, working in the Central Aerohydrodynamical Institute, has made essential personal contribution to the victory over the enemy.
