	CONGRATULATIONS TO PLENIPOTENTIARY OF RUSSIAN PRESIDENT April 5 Leonid Drachevsky is 60.

	FINGERPRINT OF CLIMATE ON A TREE SAWCUT Sergei Andreev is principal engineer at the Laboratory of Geoecology and Landscape Planning of the Baikal Institute of Nature Management of the SB RAS. In December, 2001 he defended his Candidate thesis, then in three months he has become the V.B.Sochava Prize-winner for a series of works in the field of geography on the subject "Variability of moistening conditions in the Baikal region according to the data of dendrochronology".
	THERE ARE NEVER ENOUGH FINDS Andrei Krivoshapkin, senior scientific researcher of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, the Academician A.Okladnikov Prize-winner.
	PHOTOPROCESSES WITH PARTICIPATION OF NATURAL IRON COMPLEXES Ivan Pozdniakov, post-graduate of the Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion of the SB RAS has won the Academician V.V.Voevodsky Prize for the work "Laser photochemistry with participation of radicals and coordination compounds".
	NOVEL METHODS OF MOLECULAR-GENETIC DIAGNOSTICS On the Day of Russian Science, young scientist Andrei Shabaldin, Candidate Sc. (Medicine), head of a laboratory of the Department of Cancer Immunology of the Kemerovo Center Scientific Center of the SB RAS, has been awarded with the First Prize in the field of medical sciences in Competition of young Kuzbass scientists. He was presented with a diploma and keys for a one-room apartment.
