	Sessions of the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences
	Academician N. N. Puzyryov is 85! Congratulations from the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
	Three Decades at the Institute Dr. M.Mitasov, Candidate of Sciences (Chemistry), Deputy Director of the Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is 50.
	"Godunov Methods," a Conference in Oxford The Oxford University received the conference "Godunov Methods. Theory and Applications" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Academician Serghei Konstantinovich Godunov, a prominent Russian mathematician.
	The Council of the Novosibirsk Scientific Centre Internet Acts This March, the Presidium of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences adopted a resolution on organising the Council of the Novosibirsk Scientific Centre Internet. It should be an organ supporting organisation and development of the "Internet" programme of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

	An Electronic Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Under conditions of modern dynamic social development, information becomes as much a strategical resource as conventional material and energetic resources. Hence the largest economic and social successes are achieved by the nations that use actively all the opportunities of modern computer communications and nets, computer technologies and systems for control of information resources. Emerging of an informational society is unthinkable without use of information resources in electronic form.
	Scientific Conference "Modern Society" On late October, the Omsk State University had organised the scientific conference "Modern Society". It was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the University.
	The Forest School for Junior Scientists The Filial Division of the V. N. Sukachov Institute of Forest (Tomsk) during two years co-operates with the Tomsk State University in the framework of the project "System for indicating and support of talented youth on the base of integration of fundamental science and higher education using facilities oa academic university." The project is being realised under the auspices of the federal programme "Integration".
	Chemists: The Experience of Innovation Activities On November 16 to 18, the regional conference "Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry under Contemporary Conditions" took place in Novosibirsk. It had been organised by the Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Novosibirsk region administration, the Novosibirsk division of the Russian Mendeleyev Society, the Joint Scientific Council for Chemistry.
	Vacant Positions
	Museum of Technology Technological museums all over the world act as symbols of national achievements and successes of national technological strength. They make a stress on the special significance of technology for the development of society and its humanisation. Museums pre-form human world view. That is why to- day general attention is attracted to museums. A vast scientific and experimental base has been created at the Novosibirsk Scientific Centre, many original methods and devices for scientific research has been developed. The history of their developing is of great interest both for specialists and for the community.
