	AN EXPERIMENT IN BURYATIA Republic Buryatia is a model territory of sustainable development.
	SEMINAR IN COMMEMORATION OF PROFESSOR Yu.ERMAKOV On June, 6 - 8 at the G.K.Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of the SB RAS the seminar “New Approaches to the Targeted Synthesis and Research of Catalytic Systems” dedicated to memory of Professor Yuri Ivanovich Ermakov was held. June, 18 he would be 65. His colleagues and followers of our country as well as of France, Germany and Hungary have gathered in Novosibirsk.

	METHODOLOGY OF THE UNO: INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE OF STATISTICS At the Institute of Problems of Developing of the North of the Tyumen Scientific Center of the SB RAS a scientific and practical seminar is outlined. On the seminar the methodology of the United Nations Organization on sustainable development and its applicability for Tyumen Region will be discussed.
	THE BOOK ON BIOLOGICAL POTENTIAL OF THE BAIKAL REGION The "NAUKA" Publishing House has brought out the fundamental monograph "Biovariety of the Baikal Siberia". The authors being V.Korsunov, N.Pronin, G.Gonchikov et al. The book is devoted to the urgent problems of the structure studies, inventory and analysis of the biovariety of aquatic and surface ecosystems of the Baikal Region.
	SIBERIA: A CONTRIBUTION TO THE VICTORY IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR The Second All-Russian Scientific Conference "Siberia: a Contribution to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War" dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Victory has been held in Omsk. The First Conference took place on May 1995 in connection with the 50th anniversary of the Victory.
